Bilingual Parent-Child Book Reading Workshops at Richmond Hill Library

As part of the Tehran Book Fair Uncensored series, and with the support of Dena Bookstore, we were delighted to offer two bilingual (Persian–English) interactive workshops at Richmond Hill Library.
These workshops were specially designed for parents and their children under the age of 3 (infants and toddlers), focusing on early literacy through book reading, songs, rhymes, gestures, and storytelling. The sessions created a nurturing and joyful space where families engaged with books in both languages.
A highlight of the workshops was reading The Ling Ling Bird Hears, with His Magic Ears in both English and Persian. The book captivated everyone—children and adults alike—and sparked meaningful conversations about connection, listening, and early language development. "
